Tuesday, August 9, 2016

Preventing Colorectal Cancer (PCC) has released the fourteenth issue brief in a series that underscores the importance of increasing U.S. colorectal cancer screening rates and highlights the obstacles and opportunities that influence efforts to achieve this goal. Issue Brief #14, CMS Cutbacks on Reimbursement Rates May Effect Colonoscopy Screening Availability provides a look into the possible effects cutting reimbursement rates for colonoscopies could have on patient access to a colonoscopy screening.

The new issue brief examines the financial impact of the 2016 reimbursement rate cuts for colonoscopies on practitioners and how this may impact the patient.
